Rebecca's Chili

Here's our family's favorite:

1 lbs lean hamburger or ground turkey
1 can diced tomatoes w/ green chilies
2 or 3 cans of red kidney beans
1 sm onion diced
1 clove garlic diced or crushed
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 lge can of tomato sauce
chili powder to taste
hot sauce to taste

Brown meat with onion and garlic. Add beans, tomato sauce, tomato paste. Add chili powder and hot sauce to taste simmer a while (like a hr or more)... Eat with toppings of your choice.

I feel the tomato paste thickens it up a bit and we like a thick chili. Sometimes we add black bean and chili beans as well..whatever is in the pantry that day.
