Now a while back, I raved about my stuffing, and a few of you
(Kelly was one) asked for my recipe. I was a little embarrased,
because, as I said before- I'm not that hard to please in the food
dept, so it may not seem like anything special, but here it is:
- 10 cups dried bread cubes
- 2 sticks melted butter
- salt, pepper, parsley, sage, walnuts, celery and onions
Put cubes in a bowl- add salt, pepper, parsley, sage and walnuts
melt butter and saute celery and onions, pour over cubes.
Add 1cup water to saucepan, swish around and pour over bread crumbs also; toss
spray a large piece of foil with cooking spray, put mixture in foil, wrap tightly and bake for 1 1/2 hrs at 350.
I think this is a super base recipe- now last year I added mushrooms to
the saute part, and added craisins and raisins to the stuffing after
coming out of the oven. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
