Laurie's Broccoli Slaw

Everytime I make this, I get multiple requests for the recipe. It's a side dish. You need to prepare noodles 24 hours prior to serving.


  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 2 packages of Ramen Noodles, uncooked (Oriental flavor)
  • 1 Oriental flavor package from the Ramen noodles
  • 2/3 cup roasted slivered almonds

  • 1 package of broccoli slaw
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 bunch of green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup of sunflower seeds


Break up the 2 packages of Ramen noodles. Toast the almonds and add them to the noodles. Mix the canola oil, sugar, vinegar, and ONE oriental flavor package from the Ramen noodles. Pour this "dressing" over the noodles and the toasted almonds and let it all "marinate" for 24 hours.

Just prior to serving, toss the remaining ingredients with the noodle / almond mixture.
