Always a favorite for my birthday dinner when I was growing up.
Place chicken pieces in a 9X13 pan. Mix the remainder of
ingredients, except the almonds, and spread over the chicken. Loosely
place foil over pan and bake at around 275 or 300 degrees for 2.5
hours. Remove foil, sprinkle almonds over the chicken and bake for an
additional 30 minutes. Serve over rice and the left over sauce is great
for a gravy.
