Bernatz Cheesy Potatoes

INGREDIENTS
- 6 med potatoes, cooked, chilled and grated or 6 cups frozen hash browns
- 2 cups grated cheddar (I like sharp)
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tbls butter
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion or chives (optional)
- 1 tsp ea salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS
Grease casserole dish. Melt cheese with 1/4 butter until
almost melted. Stir in sour cream, green onion, salt and pepper.
Incorporate mixture into potatoes and pour into casserole. Dot top with
2 tbls butter.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
